Indigo Fashion wants to revive the original, natural textile production in West Africa and see it flourish. We aim to do so by having various woven cotton fabrics from African countries such as Mali, Benin and Burkina Faso dyed in the places of origin in accordance with traditional, natural methods. With these fabrics in their many colours and prints we produce clothing and (lifestyle) accessories for modern consumers in Europe. The design and production are realised by Indigo Fashion, developing fashion and (lifestyle) accessories from ‘natural textiles with an African twist’.
“Women who live and work in elegant clothing made from natural fabrics in the most beautiful colours and prints of the African continent,” this was the dream that motivated Caroline Nijland to establish Indigo Fashion in 2016. The first collection, which mainly features the deep-blue indigo, is available now.
